Numbers only tell part of the story of Art Dykstra’s 50-year career serving people with disabilities, but they’re a good place to start.
When Dykstra was named president and chief executive of Trinity Services in 1987, the New Lenox-based organization had a staff of 33 and an annual budget of $500,000. Today, about 1,100 employees work at Trinity facilities statewide and the annual budget is $56 million.
